Prescriptions
Naturopathic doctors recognize that sometimes medications are necessary and have the right to prescribe many of them.
I enjoy working with compounding pharmacies to tailor medications to specific needs
This patient received acupuncture with elecro-stimulation and bruising from cupping performed the previous day to help relieve shoulder pain
Labs and Injections
Prolotherapy:
Prolotherapy is an injection technique which helps to support the healing of ligaments, tendons, and cartilage. To learn more about this therapy take a look at my blog post which gets into more detail about how it works.
Labs:
Naturopathic doctors use a variety of testing methods to help patients. Some of the more commonly used one include:
Life labs:
CBC with differential
Thyroid testing (TSH, T3, T4, antibodies)
Cholesterol
Liver and kidney function tests
Markers of inflammation (CRP, ESR)
Hormones (Estrogen, testosterone)
Alternative testing:
Food sensitivity testing (Blood test)
SIBO breath test
Female and male hormone testing (Saliva or dried urine)
Cortisol testing (Saliva)
Vitamin/Nutrient IVs:
IV therapy allow vitamins and minerals to be infused directly into the blood stream without worrying if the body is absorbing them or not.
Alternatively vitamin B12 injections can be given on their own for a quick and easy boost in energy
